Effective from January 1, 2013, we will be changing our product name from MBAnywhere to CPAnywhere.
The old name MBAnywhere is for executives Managing Business Anywhere in the world.
However, the present product is geared more to professional firms because of its extensive use of timesheet system.
Therefore, the new name CPAnywhere, as in Cloud Practice Anywhere, can reflect more about the function and targeted user groups.
This is also we are gradually releasing the Mobile Platform for CPAnywhere system.
By using the smartphone, one can truly conduct business anywhere in the world with ease.
We have finally finished the Mobile Platform for MBAnywhere system.
The system is beautiful and user-friendly.
You really need to try it. Please call us for detail.
We would like to enhance the Client function into a full CRM Customer Relationship Management system.
The trick is to channel all things related to that particular client together and presented in one click on the mobile phone.
By one click to a client, one can obtain the information about the on-site service records, time charged and comment, telephone calls and message left, post-it discussions about the client, warning messages, letters from or to the client, new jobs added and if this is a prospective client, the follow up status.
Of course, we can also add the outstanding invoices, accounts receivables, credit rating, work-in-progress, etc. but we can leave that to your judgement.
Apart from our on-going mobile MBA development, we will shift the invoicing from the present PDF format to Microsoft Word format.
If you are familiar with our VDL codes used in CSA, then you get the picture.
However, there is a fundamental difference between the two.
The VDL codes used in CSA is based on the older RTF format.
The VDL codes used in MBA is based on the newer XML format.
Based on some users’ recommendations, we have completely rewrite the Job Efficiency Report by Levels accessible under the Report Builder function.
This one clearly is a must-use report for all CPA firms and Law firms as it details the job and persons involved, time spent, under or over the budget, as well as the overall efficiency by different levels involved.
We are still working on the mobile MBA for day-to-day use.
We will release the beta version soon. Please send us the comment.
Still working on the mobile version. However, we are upgrading our existing users to the full invoicing, settlement, and automatic accounting functions.
In addition, we are looking at the possibility of adding the Microsoft Word file for invoicing so that users can make changes to it. This is important for law firms that bill on time basis.
We are busy working on the mobile version of the MBAnywhere system. We have to decide which mobile systems that we should first developed.
The purpose is to allow mobile phone users to access the MBA system in fast speed, clear to navigate but powerful enough to access the information as quickly as possible.
After trying for the iOS, Android and the HTML5, we have decided to adopt the HTML5 as the basic for our mobile version. HTML5 is accessable in all iPhones, Android phones, Symbian as well as the Microsoft Mobile systems.
In fact, we think this is the future. Rather than based a particular company or phone system, the HTML5 is universal and accessable to all. When using the Mobile version of the MBA system, user can download the iPhone-like icon into his phone. Everytime when he wants to access the MBA system, all he needs is to press that MBA icon and the system will appear. It is simple and easy to use. The system is still under development. However, you can call us to try out the beta version.
The Mobile MBA at this preliminary stage allows only the following functions:
We will add more features to it as the time goes.
Thank you for your support!
Sabrina of Union Alpha asked us a good question-
How can we apply the 7% local tax and 3% sales tax on local level as well as the 5% on income amount.
The MBA system has a built-in Tax Juridiction setting to handle the transaction taxes apply to invoices.
However, we can only apply one tax to one invoice. How can the system apply 3 different taxes to one invoice?
Usually, client or customer doesn’t care the distribution of the taxes. What he cares is just the total amount.
This is like the sales tax in California. If San Francisco imposes 8.5%, with it, 5% goes to the state, 1% goes to the county, 1% goes to the city, 1.5% goes to the BART (train).
User only needs to set up San Francisco as a Tax Jurisdiction with its Tax Payble account for tax liability. On invoices, customers in general do not want to see all the distribution of that 8.5%. They only want one rate and amount.
So, the present system can still handle the Beijing situation. However, we would like to listen to other users in other countries for guidance and suggestion to make the transaction tax system more user friendly.
We have held a meeting with a CSA user in presenting the MBA system.
They asked a simple question, “Can MBA print out the CSA invoices?”
At that moment, our answer was no. These are two separate systems.
However, we have started a soul serching and came to a conclusion. The MBA will print out the invoices for jobs completed at CSA system.
We hope we can present this new system to users who are using the CSA Expert system as a great enhancement. If everything goes well, we will have the system ready by the end of February 2012.
